I currently code for a small family practice. We have an employee that handles the billing and I handle the coding, but we are downsizing and I am going to be taking over the billing as well as the coding. There will be no one else in the office that has experience in billing and coding, so I will basically be the billing/coding manager. I am going to ask for a raise, but I'm having a hard time finding a good site that will provide me with specific salary information for my state. I've looked at the AAPC salary survey, but I'm afraid it won't be specific enough for the doctor I work for. Does anyone have a website they recommend or any other advice for me when I go to have this conversation?
