We have an office visit, 99214, with Dx of 300.00 Anxiety. There were some tests with Dx of v72.84 unspecified pre-op exam. Patient preparing for Electro shock therapy. Ins. denied the office visit saying Dx and CPT are inconsistent. What is wrong with a Dx of 300.00 for a basic sick visit? :confused: Considering resubmitting with both 300.00 and the v72.84. Suggestions welcome
 
I would call and speak to a rep to see if they can provide more information. Double check and make sure you POS is correct.
