My doctor wants to code 73130 with a modifier 50 because he did a prayer view. i think its just 3 view. What do you think?

Were both wrists ordered? Did he document findings from both wrists? Do you have a clinical indication for the other wrist or was it imaged for comparison because it was there?

My thoughts are that most likely only the 1 wrist should be coded.

You would code both hands 73130-RT and 73130-LT or 50 whatever your payer likes
