:eek:Pt has Gastic Cancer with periaortic metastases.

My physician performed a Lap Choel with resection of periaortic node. OP report reads as follows:

There was a palpable node on the antierior aspect of the aorta. The peritoneum was incised, and the node dissected and excised using harmonic scissors. It was srnt ofr pathologic evaluation and revealed metastic adenocarcinoma.

I am kind of stumped on the correct CPT code. I am considering 33130, but am not sure if this is right.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Lay description

Here's the lay description if that helps ...

33130: Cardiopulmonary bypass is only required if a significant portion of the heart or major vessel must be removed with the tumor to get a margin of normal tissue around the tumor. The tumor and surrounding normal tissue are removed. Defects created in the heart, coronary arteries or major vessels are repaired.
