Doctor is doing drainage of a hematoma located on the dorsal radial aspect of the hand at the 2nd CMC joint, and possible ligation of any actively bleeding structures.
I am thinking 25028 ? Surgery hasn't been performed as yet, we are trying to get
precert and authorization.
Do you think 25028 sounds correct ? And what about the ligationof any actively bleeding structures ? Would that be included ? I really need some guidance as soon as possible.
Hands are not my usual area.
