Need some guidance on this procedure [hemiarthroplasty], which the doctor coded as CPT 27125.
However, he also said to include CPT 27248, which Medicare as denied as inclusive
to the Hemiarthroplasty. Diagnosis he used was 820.21.
This was a fracture and not degenerative arthritis. Trying to understand if this procedure
[27248] could have been billed and if so, for what other reason if this claim needs to be appealed.
