Does anyone know how Hemiparesis due to MS would be coded? I believe I have always coded 342.90 and 340, but I am starting to question if this is correct. I saw an old coding clinic for coding hemiparesis before the late effects of stroke codes were added and it said to use 342.8X if there is hemiparesis as a result of stroke. Should I be using 342.80 since the hemiparesis is due to MS? Thank you, I appreciate any feedback :)
