Hi there - hoping to get help from my fellow members...i work in a laboratory processing AP. Hemotoxylin and Eosin are special stains use for processing histology. These stains are included when billing the histology code (88302, 88304, 88305, 88307 or 88309). I would like to know are there any circumstances H & E stains can be billed separately using code 88313? Are they billable by itself?
