We are currently in the works to review and possibly start billing for HGB Electrophoresis. One of our Pathologists raised a question. Is it appropriate to bill HGB electrophoresis with HPC-C? or do they have to have gel SPEPS? In her previous institution they couldn't bill with just HPC-C. They had to have gel SPEPS. Does anyone have any experience with this and know the answer. I'm having trouble finding any information on this topic.
