Wiki high deductible payment plans

Does anyone have an example of a payment plan specifically used for patients who have scheduled surgery and the will have a high deductible balance. We are trying to setup payment arrangements prior to surgery due to the high volume of patients who do not pay their deductibles. Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thank you.

Always ask for the full amount of the allowable. You would be surprised at the people that will just write a check, if asked. Then ask for 50% with two payments for the balance, then negotiate from there with you making sure that if a payment is missed, the balance is then due in full. You will need to write up a specific agreement, similar to any type payment agreement.
