Hi!
49 yr old came in for a screening colonoscopy with a family history of colon cancer.
I did 45378 v76.51& v16.0. Empire BCBS states I should use G0105 for high risk. I thought the G codes were just for Medicare patients? Am I wrong? thanks!
 
No, many payors accept the G codes. But it really shouldn't have mattered since you put the V76.51.

Maybe because the pt is under the age of 50 and has a family history.
