When Patient went to OR it was identified upon review regarding mass on tonsil for which anesthesia made a clinical decision regarding protecting the patient's airway and surgery was cancelled. The patient has a lesion of oropharynx, cancer of right lung, and COPD with exacerbation. Decision made by orthopedic surgeon for leg fracture. We are ENT and consulted after the OR cancellation.
Would this constitute "Decision regarding elective major surgery with identified patient or procedure risk factors?"
Would this be a severe exacerbation of chronic illness (COPD) or lung cancer?
thank you

I would say no because your provider was not the one who made the decision.

I would say complexity of problems is high.
