Hello! I am a new coder and work with an anesthesia group, we work with an outpatient ortho facility. The providers frequently note a Hill-Sachs lesion. I keep getting pointed toward using S42.20- For an unspecified fracture of upper end of humerus. I am also seeing that a Hill-Sachs lesion is a defect in the bone caused from a dislocation, so coding a traumatic fracture code does not seem right. I am wondering what others might use for this condition or point me in a direction. Thank you!
