I work at a hospital and I do the billing for the professional fees for the Hospitalists. We bill their services under the Hospital's TIN. The facility has obtained an HINN for a inpatient stay that was deemed "not medically necessary". My question is, does this HINN cover the professional services or should the hospital have also obtained an ABN for the Part B Hospitalists charges?
