Arthroscopy revealed a large displaced labral tear with greater than a centimeter in width and length. Using a combination of the shaver and electrothermic probe, a debridement
of the labrum was completed to a nice stable rim.
He also did decompression of a cam lesion which I believe is 29914.

But for the labral tear, would you code 29862 or 29916 ?

Suggestions are appreciated. Thank you

29916 is for labral repair. 29862 is for debridement which was done. Problem is 29862 bundles with 29914 (CAM).

So, If I have hip arthroscopy with debridement of labrum and femoral acetabular decompression and debridement of cartilage injury, anterior acetabulum , would all of that be bundled under 29862?

Is the doc treating a CAM (29914) and PINCER lesion (29915) with the decompression? If so then yes 29862 would bundle with the 2 primary codes. Be aware that 29914 and 29915 also bundle together.
