I have read what the AMA has stated regarding the use of 73520 but I still have a question....Would you code 73520-52 (reduced services) for both of these scenarios:

1 view RT hip, 1 view LT hip, no pelvis (ordered & performed together)

-or-

2 views Rt hip, 2 views LT hip, no pelvis (ordered & performed together)

I personally think that the first one (1 view each hip, no pelvis) - would be 73500-RT and 73500-LT; and the 2nd one would be 73520.
However, as of 4/1/2012, there is an MUE of 1 for 73500, so you'd probably have to code # 1 as 73520-52. (Strangely enough, 73510 and 73520 can still be coded twice but 73500 cannot be.)
