Hi Everyone! Would someone be able to give me their input on coding the below procedure. I am thinking 11043, 11046, & 97605 Diagnosis: Left hip wound breakdown and drainage Sacral ulcers and wounds Procedure: Superficial left hip wound exploration, irrigation and debridement, and repeat closure. Irrigation and debridement of sacral wounds with application of wound VAC. The patient recently underwent a total hip arthroplasty and is still in global. Patient has developed increase drainage from hip incision with breakdown and dehiscence of the closure. They have also developed a sacral ulcer that is full-thickness of the skin and went deep near the bone. Thank you

13160 is for secondary closure of surgical wound or dehiscence. I would bill that for the hip, and 11043 and 97605 for sacral area with appropriate modifiers for surgery during global period. Also, 11043 and 97605 hit 13160 in NCCI edits so they would need additional modifier for separate site.
