I believe HNP stands for Herniated Nucleus Pulposus.

If a document sts
Herniated Nucleus Pulposus with central stenosis - would this require two codes?

Thanks.

Hi,
Yes this would require two codes. I am unsure of the location - with the information provided I would code 722.2 with 724.00.
Thanks,
