I am hoping someone can give me guidance on how to code a Holter monitor in a mulitple provider office when one physician orders it and places the monitor but another physician in the practice does the review and interpretation. The practice owns the monitor. Should it all be coded using the global 93224 or be separated out by provider?
 
yeah, you could either bill 93224 for the reading physician and separate the payments out through accounting in the backend. Or you could bill 93225 & 93226 for the ordering physician and 93227 for the reading physician. tough call, but I would probably agree with espressoguy, make it easier for coding and leave the burden to accounting
