Wiki Home Visit in Global Period

Our doctor saw a patient at the hospital and did surgery on him. He was supposed to come to the office for a post-op visit, but was unable to make it. The doctor went to see him at his house. While she was there, she also did a debridement (11043). Not sure how to code this. Can I could use a home visit (99349) since it is in the global period with a modifier or do I use 99024 for post-op? Also, if I use a modifier, which one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Global visit

The vist is global to the surgery.

The procedure can be separately billed, but I am having a hard time with 11043 done at the patient's home. She really performed 11043 at the patient's home? Down into the muscle? Really?

Thank you for replying. It did help. I asked the doctor again to make sure that is what she really did and "yes" it is. The patient is quadriplegic so he was bedbound. He was supposed to come to the office, but could not make it due to weather. So, he would have had it done in the office anyway. Thank you again for the help!!
