If a podiatrist makes a home visit for nail trimmings and/or debridement can he bill an office visit (new or established)? I know Medicare guidelines state that these are routine care but I am wondering if a home visit is different. If so, would it be 99341? Any help is greatly appreciated.

if it is a home visit then you would bill a 9934(1-5) and you can bill the other procedures as well. Remember your modifiers and codes that are required for medicare and use pos 12 for home.

Hope that helps!!
