A patient came in because of being stung by a hornet. I don't like the 989.5 but that is what is listed under sting/insect. The doctor wrote as the diagnosis an insect bite but that doesn't sound correct either. Any suggestions?
 
989.5 is what we use for "stings" ... for bug bites (tick) we're in the 91x.x area depending on location/mulit -
{that's my opinion on the posted matter}
