I work for a portable x-ray company and I am wondering if we can bill the professional component (reading of the x-ray with 26 modifier) to Medicare part B with the GV modifier.
All info I find says that if the physician is not an attending or contracted with the Hospice - do not bill Medicare.
Our radiologist is not an attending and not contracted, but the readings are not being billed either. So our claim would look like 71010 26 GV $30.00.
Any ideas?
