I have been billing for physician billing for over 20 years (multiple specialties).
Can someone please give me a run down on the Hospital billing criteria?
Such as: In Patient Billing - DRG - Group Codes
Revenue Codes?
Out patient facility billing - Are these services billed with CPT codes
also? (radiology, labs, etc)

Ambulatory Surgery for facility? - Is this service also billed with CPT
codes? (same as physician)

I'm hoping someone can explain the basic differences between hospital & physician billing. Thank you in advance for your input!

Hi Deb,

You should check out " Principles of Healthcare Reimbursement." The book explains a bunch of different payment systems in facility setting.
