Hospital consult

Our physician saw a woman (not our patient) in the hospital, did the H&P and ordered an ultrasound one day, then reviewed the findings with the patient and wrote the progress note the next day. Is this considered a short stay, or is there more involved in the coding? Thank you for any help offered!
