I need help with the following situation:
Pt is in the hospital as observation status. Primary physician sees patient during the day. In the afternoon another physician(who belongs to the same practice) sees the patient due to a critical issue. The provider spends 30 minutes of critical care with the patient. Can I charge the critical care code since one of our other physicians seen the patient earlier that day?
