The physician I work for has a large population of Medicare patients, many of whom at some point find it difficult to come into the office due to their declining health status. Does anyone have any advice or experience with billing house calls to Medicare? My physician is thinking specifically: wound care, eval for uti, medication reconciliation/mgmt., etc. Thanks in advance for any input!!

Home Services

Home visits: 99341, 99342, 99343, 99344, and 99345
I have billed these before to Medicare and have changed POS (place of service) to 12 for home or private residence
Also the zip code must contain not only the first 5 digits, but the remaining digits after the dash for a more specific zip.
00000-0000 ie. which you can find by calling the post office.
Under care of Hospice Agency or Home Health, use different codes.
