Wiki How long does it take your doctors to get their documentation done and ready to code?

I'm trying to get a feel for what an average time passing between exam/procedure being completed and documentation being ready to code is for the rest of you. I work at a neurosurgery clinic with 2 current surgeons and another 2 recently hired and starting here.

My Surgeons have 48 hours from DOS to have the note in and signed.

What's the policy if your surgeons don't make that deadline? I'm just curious.

The Director will take next steps to ensure it is finished. I am not sure of the Directors Policy. I notify Director if not complete.
