My Drs see patients on a daily basis while they are in the hospital. The hospital is keeping patients in Observation Status for multiple days, saying they don't meet criteria for IP status.

Obviously I can't bill 9923_. Can I bill 9921_? I have already billed a consult for the initial visit. There are notes documented in the chart.

Does anyone have experience with this one? Any thoughts.
