A provider has asked an interesting question. We know about 99211 for nurse visits, approx 5 min. And 98960 education & training for pt self management, 30 minutes. But is there anything we can bill in addition to the Office visit (99213-99214) for education/counseling by a NURSE that takes 15-20 minutes? (Ex: EpiPen use) The provider often has patients here for 45 minutes to an hour with provider face -face time being only 30 minutes. It's Pediatrics, so there's a lot of mom/patient education done by our nurses for a variety of issues. Any input/ideas would be welcome. Thank you!
