Hi everyone.
I have not been able to find any information on how to properly use the modifier EP. I am told to use it with 96110. Any help is appreciated.
FYI - I bill to Medicaid.

The EP modifier should only be used if your providers are EPSDT providers with Medicaid. The EP modifier should be used on all codes that are part of the EPSDT/Wellness visit. I am in Mississippi and Mississippi Medicaid requires us to use the EP modifier first then the XU as second modifier on 96110 if it is done during visit. 96110 is also only required at specific visits. Medicaid normally follows the Bright Futures guidelines set by the AAP. I have attached the table for you. Hope this helps!
