Does anyone have any input on whether you can code essential hypertension and pulmonary hypertension together? Or would you just code the pulmonary hypertension by itself.
Thnx so much!

Essential HTN is an over-all systemic condition while Pulmonary HTN is HTN specific to those arteries/veins. The patient can have both. So yes, you could code both for both conditions
