Can someone please help me on this.. I need to find out if there are specific dx codes that need to be on the chart in order to bill/code for Infusion of Normal saline, does it have to specifically state dehydration in order to bill/code for it? I tried looking on mcare website but I am truly illiterate on that site I never seem to find anything I am looking for there.. I work coding ER charts for both facility and profee..any and all help is appreciated..alice

thank you for your response, I did look at that, it came up when I was doing my searching but our FI is Palmetto so would that matter? I tried palmetto and could not find anything, I am specificallylooking for any site that can give me a list some acceptable dxs for when Normal Saline and the E/R level are done..thank you for your help..alice
