We are having difficulty getting paid under ICD10 for hyperbaric oxygenation for patients with post radiation injury. Under ICD-9, it was considered late effects of radiation. There is nothing comparable under ICD-10 and we are getting rejected. My provider went to a Wound Care Conference last week and many providers are complaining of the same issue. Anyone have any brilliant suggestions????

Update

It was covered under ICD-9 with a 990 ICD-9 code. That code is converting to a T66.- code which equates to radiation sickness which Medicare is denying as unrelated to radiation therapy. Anyone have any suggestions??
