For the new changes in HTN with Heart Disease ((I50.- , I51.4 to I51.9) coding rules we can assume the relationship between them and use codes I11 and I50., which is not on the 2016 or 2017 ICD-10 book guidelines, I'm scheduled for an exam, should I use these new code changes for November exam and not use I10 and I50.- which is how it was coded before the new CMS update or do you think the November exam will still follow the rules before the October update?
