I know when a pt comes in for a follow up/re-packing you are not suppose to charge a office viist, under the 10day global. However what if more is actually done to the pt, eg: cleansed,more fluid expressed manually, anesthesia for re-packing, can you charge an office visit, since it wasn't just a "easy" dressing change? Thanks
 
If the dressing change was provided in the office within the 10 day global period, it would be non-billable. If the patient was take to the OR for a dressing change under anesthesia, you could charge procedure 15852 with modifier 58.
