I received a denial on an I & D. Physician did an I & D(10060) and also gave an injection insurance is denying admin. fee (96372) saying it is bundled. I looked in the CPT book again an it does not state on the I & D that it is with injection. Help please. Could they be denying it because it is the same site?
 
If the injection was given for a different reason than having to do with the procedure then you need a modifier on the injection. According to CCI they do bundle, but a modifier is allowed to differenciate between the services provided. If the injection was part of the procedure you will not be able to bill for it.
