Casting and supplies in post op

Can you bill for the re-casting and supplies in a post op? And if so, would I need to use a modifier, and which one will help get it paid.
I have read that only one office visit with casting and supplies can be charged in a post op...
An insurance company today denied the casting, but paid some on the supplies....
Any help understanding this would be appreciated.

Subsequent casts are chargeable during the global period--but you'll need to a modifier 58 to the charge.
