During a pharmaceutical stress test the patient was given I.V. Persantine and Cardiolite. The patient developed a headache and nausea. Aminophylline was given intravenously and the headache and nausea discontinued.
Can an I.V. push be coded for the Aminophylline? We understand that the Persantine and Cardiolite are inherent to the procedure.

Yes, you can bill the push for the aminophylline. Be sure link it to the proper dx codes, headache & nausea.
