What diagnosis would you use in this case?
Provider performed a C4-7 ACDF and the patient complains of neck pain the next day. The provider realizes the screws are not positioned correctly so he performs a removal and re insertion the next day. The reason for surgery is not a breakdown of equipment ( T) code but more of a provider error. Would you just use neck pain? I cannot find an appropriate code.
C5-6 fracture - I have spoken with the patient and his family and explained that the C7 screws ar
not ideally positioned. I have recommended taking back to the OR today to reposition the screws
