I think you are looking for a CPT code for this? The Cook balloon is use to provide mechanical dilation of the cervical canal prior to labor induction at term when the cervix is closed or not ripe enough for induction to take place. At a stretch, it would fall under the definition for code 59200 as the code itself (without the examples) says for insertion of a cervical dilator which is the balloon's purpose. But it also depends on when it was done. Induction of labor is included within 24 hours of delivery by most payers. If the balloon was then followed by insertion of a vaginal laminaria, you would also have a time getting paid for 59200 twice (assuming again the patient is not delivering that same day).
