I am coding for Psychiatry services , and I have a note where the patient wants to have gastric sleeve surgery and was referred by her PCP to the Psychiatrist for capacity. My doctor billed obesity and was denied. the Psychiatrist wrote under treatment plan patient has the capacity to decide to proceed with bariatric surgery. please help what icd-10 to use from the mental and behavioral codes.
