Please help!!! I do not understand enough about the thyroid to talk to our Endo doc regarding ICD-10. We told him he will have to document the exact type of hypo/hyperthyroidism so we don't have to use a unspecified code. He stated that he will not know that it will be other specified code. Does that sound correct? As a specialist he wont know more specific type? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
