Does anyone do Wound Care and/or Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy billing? The new ulcer codes have a severity breakdown: limited to breakdown of skin, with fat layer exposed and with necrosis of muscle or bone. How do these equate to the Wagner scale coding classification? Also, what constitutes necrosis of muscle or bone within the ulcer is not clarified. The Providers can't answer this either.
