Can ICD10 Z86.010 be used when History of Colon Polyps is dictated as diagnosis or does it have to say specifically History of adenomatous polyp of colon?

I think you're correct. After researching more it looks like you have to be specific for a rectal polyp but not for a colon polyp. History of Colon Polyps is Z86.010 (adenomatous or unspecified). Hx of Rectal Polyp would be coded using Z87.19 as the code Z86.018 can only be used if it specifically states Hx of adenomatous rectal polyp.
