Can anyone tell me the difference between the ICD-9-CM 2009 for Physicians EXPERT verses PROFESSIONAL editions? I am looking into purchasing our 2009 coding books from the AAPC and their ICD-9-CM book doesn't state if it is expert or professional.
 
Expert vs Professional

The use of terms like "standard," "expert," and "professional" varies by publisher, so there is no standard meaning. In some cases, the only difference is one has a normal binding and one has a spiral binding. In other cases, the content differs significantly.

What you should do is review the marketing material or call the organization to find out whether a product meets your specific needs.
