Would anyone know what diagnosis code to apply in a case where the patient is a 17-year old adolescent and his brachial plexus injury is birth-related? The physician applied 767.6, but we are receiving an edit stating that the diagnosis is invalid for the patient's age. Is this code soley used in cases where the patient is a newborn or is it okay to use this code to refer to the diagnosis' origin?
