Are there any specific codes for a late effect of prematurity when the baby is passed the newborn stage? for instance, I have a 15 month old that was born premature and has a gait abnormality and developmental disorders related to the prematurity. I would appreciate any help. thanks!
 
Late effect of prematurity code

You would use V code: V21.30 thru V21.35. This is for personal history of low birth weight.. V21.30 is for unspecified weight, provided of course that the baby was premature with low birth weight.
