Background Info: We had a patient come in yesterday since we are her "normal" ob/gyn but she got hormone pellets inserted by another doctor who refused to remove them stating "they have to run their course" but because she recently found out she's pregnant she came to us for our doctor to remove them. I have NO clue how to bill this since our doctor doesn't deal in the pellets or didn't put them in to begin with. Any suggestion on which CPT & ICD-9 codes to use to get the best reimbursement??? HEEEELLLP!
Thanks

ob/gyn

cpt: 11976 with icd9: v22.1. for the future find the codes you are looking for on the internet and double check everything you found in the coding manuals - this is the best way to code today. Good luck...Tati
