How would you code this (ICD10)

Dysphagia due to previous cerebrovascular accident, non-traumatic

would I69.991, R13.10 be correct?

or I69.891, R13.10 or am I completely wrong????

please assist, thank you

I would use I69.391 and R13.10. I looked under Accident, cerebrovascular, old with sequelae indicates to look under sequelae of infarction, cerebral.

According to ICD10 coding guidelines under I69.391 there was use additional note says you need to code only if type of dysphagia has been specified from range R13.11-R13.19. In your case code only I69.391 w/o R13.10 since dysphagia is unspecified (R13.10)

Dysphagia following cerebral infarction
Use additional
code to identify the type of dysphagia, if known (R13.11-R13.19)
